ESB debit cards - overview

ESB Bank offers debit cards to our checking account customers. These cards are be used with savings accounts for ATM withdrawals only, however the primary account must be checking. Debit cards enable customers to purchase items anywhere Visa is accepted as well as withdraw funds via ATMs.

ESB Bank offers a great rewards program. This program allows customers to use their cards for normal purchases, which earn points towards a totally free gift. Enrolling in the Rewards program is automatic with the use of an ESB Bank debit card. Click here for more information.

ESB Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

On May 20, 2009, the temporary increase in FDIC insurance to $250,000 per depositor was extended through December 31, 2013.
